I carve wood but haven't spent more than 150 on an Arbortech product so I decided to give it a try. I am very satisfied with the original quality when editing. But I can say that after a few weeks it starts to fade. I'm not sure if I can sharpen or not. So it's not hard metal, just steel. If you store it in a soft wood like Basvoid it will last longer. Not me. That's why I give 4 stars instead of 5, simply because I see a loss of quality in my work.

I used this disc to smooth out an uneven sill in an old cab. Sanding an old pine floor glued to the new chipboard. The washer was working great until I drove in two nails that I couldn't get out. After that, he quickly headed south. Overall this is a good grinding wheel. Got the job done quickly and was very handy on the side handle coffee grinder. Just make sure you remove any nails in the sanding area.

It's ok for the price. If you do light work and don't mind cleaning frequently, this will work. You get what you pay for. I didn't spend a lot of money on it and it shows. I wouldn't buy it again. Bought this on April 21st and was pleased with its ability to absorb wood while making a bowl. Anyone who complains about recoil should not be familiar with such a tool. Use the grinder handle so that both hands have good control. Rest your elbows on your body and let the tool do its job. Excessive pressure will result in kickback and damage to the workpiece. Yes, expensive ones may seem better, but three times the price. No complaints. The master who scolds his tools is bad.

Yes it's cheap but it did what I needed, I had to shave off some wood on some warped 2X12 ends I have as side boards between some flatbed frames to make this easier to install and close remove channel on flatbed stands, just a minor issue with attaching the disc to the angle grinder like the original, but since the angle grinder is a bit too big to fit completely flush to the stop, screw the nut down about 1/2 far enough Threads protruding from the top of the nut and the nut sat in the disc cup

NEVER use wood cutting discs in an angle grinder, recoil can easily knock them out of your hands and send you to the emergency room, as happened to me. After the angle grinder bounced in my hands, it cut my hand so badly it took me 7 stitches. Luckily I had a turnstile nearby. I was very skeptical that it would work as advertised. but it really worked! Only problem is it's like working with a jackhammer! I'm pretty strong, and yet this thing left pain in my arms. because it vibrated so much (even without using it!
