I've been wearing these boots for about a year, mostly shore diving in Hawaii. The thick sole is comfortable for walking on rough terrain, including rocks. The new boots are great, everything I could wish for with one major caveat: at least in my case, I wouldn't be able to wear my regular flippers anymore.
