This product has proven to be the best source of warmth for my birds. gave them warmth. If I changed anything it would be an indicator that it's working, otherwise I should feel warm because there's no light, which is great for birds when they're sleeping, so it's a good choice.

I USE MY CERAMIC RADIATORS INSTEAD OF FLAMMABLE INFRARED LAMPS. HEAT IS WELL AND EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. THE ALUMINUM CAP IS EVEN BETTER TO HOLD THE EXTRA HEAT REFLECTION. I HAVE USED MINE ON THREE GENERATIONS OF CHICKENS AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS. DEPENDING ON THE ROOM TEMPERATURE, YOU CAN DECREASE OR INCREASE THE LEVEL OF THE HEAT SOURCE TO BE COMFORTABLE FOR YOUR CHICKS OR REPTILES.

These are great for our leopard gecko and we use them on our bearded dragons too. They work great and get very hot!
