Flimsy and Unreliable Shift Handle

The Omix Ada 18885 32 Transmission Shift Handle proved to be a disappointing purchase for my automotive needs. As my tests showed, this part is flimsy and unreliable during gear shifts, which significantly impacts the car's performance. The only positive aspect was the ease of installation. However, this does not outweigh the cons of having a non-functional shift handle. Overall, I would not recommend this product for those seeking high-performance car parts and accessories.

Pros
  • Quality construction ensures durability and long-lasting use.
Cons
  • Some users may find the grip to be uncomfortable for extended use.

quick and easy fix for a loose transfer case switch

I took the grip off my YJ during a test ride before I bought it. The old clip was probably OEM and just worn out. Combined with an isolator ( B000FQ0H1Q is a quick fix for a loose or broken transfer case switch. Seems to be a well made part.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Just what you need when the shifter comes loose in your hand.

I literally pulled off Engineering Pass and after a difficult descent in the rain and gathering darkness I saw the Autobahn. It's time to shift from low to high range, but when I'm idling, the shifter pops off in my hand like a spoiled Donald Duck cartoon. I let go of the clutch pedal and in fact it's actually in 'Neutral'. Taking a flashlight and a Phillips screwdriver, I removed the outer rubber boot and was glad to see that the transfer case linkage was intact. I straightened the OEM version

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
