Too small. for water sports

I used to buy the medium and it was a little tight so I decided to buy this one in the large size. He was smaller than the medium! I put them against each other and the middle one overlaps the big one. Crazy. Quality Control Issues? So disappointing.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Order a size or two larger than your current size!

Order one size or two SIZES. I'm 5ft 1in, 95-100lbs and usually wear an XS or S. I ordered the small to be on the safe side and it was incredibly snug. Uncomfortably tight. It wouldn't even fit my 12 year old. Medium in size and fits perfectly - as I would expect the XS to fit women's sizes. This should be the junior size chart. Otherwise, I love the fit and have ordered a few more!

Disappointed with the size but otherwise good

I usually wear small to medium tops but based on the reviews I ordered this top in a large size. I was expecting to have a few millimeters of clearance but NO. The top fits like a very small. Unfortunately I ordered it for a trip and had no way to return it so I just carried it. The material is good and it could be flattering if the sizing wasn't so messed up. Do better, O'Neill.

Wrong size Fits rashguards

The color of this rashguard was much greener than the picture. But size is the real issue. I bought a size up based on the reviews and it is too small for my daughter. She usually wears a medium sized women's dress, so I bought a large one. I tried this rash guard on my other daughter who wears a girls size 10/12 and it was just a bit too big for her. So either order at least two or even three sizes larger or avoid this rashguard altogether.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Nothing

Pretty. Buy one size up

Got mine in the mail yesterday and am very happy with it. The only thing I would 100% recommend is to go up a size! I'm always small in tops but after reading the reviews I decided on medium and I'm glad I did! I'm 5'4 and 140lbs with a 34B cup and the average fits just right. If you are heavier than me I would definitely suggest going for the big one! I can't wait to wear this to Ginny Springs tomorrow.

No more sunburnt shoulders

You know it works because at the end of the day you've got a pretty good tan in a t-shirt when you're pale like me. My shoulders always burn no matter how much sunscreen I put on. Concerned about possible sun damage and skin cancer, I threw in the towel and got this. I like it a lot more than I expected and I don't have a problem with sunburn. Would recommend to anyone who burns too much. I ordered a size small and it fits well - I have narrow shoulders and am in good shape.

  • Easy to use

Does the job: scuba diving and snorkeling

Bought this mainly to protect my shoulders and upper back from the sun when bodyboarding as the waves always wash away my sunscreen. Serves its purpose and does not burn. However, I'm wasting too much time tearing this thing down! After each wave I catch I adjust the bottom half which rolls down to my chest which is annoying. Reviews of other rashguards say it only happens if the shirt is too big, but I think the opposite is true. This thing is very tight, digging into my arms and pinching myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • I keep calm

The perfect compression fit for surf and big waves

I have 3 of these that I wear year round every time I get in the water for any water sport. The fabric is a thin, durable synthetic material that is ideal for wearing in the water at any temperature, either alone or under neoprene. I wear it kayaking, scuba diving and bodyboarding. ABOUT THE SIZES: Actually, they fit the purpose of the design. They are designed to protect the skin while surfing. If you surf a surfboard or boogie board, or surf big waves, your surf shirt should fit snugly toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
