ONKRON Monitor Wall Mount Bracket Television & Video Review

This was used in my camper van where space is very limited. I have all twists and movements from almost every angle. Very well built and the power steering works great - highly recommend.

I have a facility with 3 monitors, 2 of which are regular size, that I have used these mounts for. I like them because they are full of movement and I can just switch my monitor to portrait mode when needed - it's a great way to browse long web pages and if you're a geek like me who programs. Very happy with my purchase!

The only thing I would wish for more is that the mount has a latch in the stowed position. I am using this in a 20ft caravan so I use elastic cords to secure the TV and mount it during travel. The freedom of movement is very good as I can set it up to face either the galley/table area or the bed.

Product claims to support a monitor weighing up to 17.6 pounds. My monitor weighs 14.5 pounds. The gas spring in the mount is not strong enough to keep the monitor upright. It goes to the lowest position. So now I have 3 holes in the wall and I can't adjust the height of the monitor, so I wall mount the monitor. Very disappointed. The manufacturer clearly did not test the product for the stated weight limit. I'd be surprised if it could handle a 10lb monitor. Buyer Warning.

I finally got my hands on the stud mount properly, hooked my 32 inch TV to the mount. and just watched as the hand lowered the TV to the floor. I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out if I should somehow customize the hand, but it turns out the sellers are just very, very misleading as to what this hand will hold. So now I've got some huge holes in the wall and a TV that's pretty much on the floor. Brilliant. And my TV doesn't even come close to the weight this thing has to support.

If you install this in a hairpin everything will be fine. I have doubts about the recommended drill size for drilling the screw hole as I nearly ripped off a couple of the screws holding them. I recommend going up a size to 13/64. If you're mounting directly into drywall, you're out of luck. The product comes with wall anchors, but these are designed for masonry or cement. Working. The support weight of the mounts is adjustable and the screen can really be positioned where you want. The good thing is that it looks aesthetically pleasing. You will need to be able to use a drill to assemble - quite easy although only 3 holes need to be punched. We wanted to be able to pull it down and not look up. It does this job well. But! It is listed to hold 17 pounds. It is not. Our 32 inch LED TV weighs only 7.5 pounds. It doesn't hold up when you pick it up. Fails completely. I fixed this by clipping the brackets where they overlap the inner bracket. (There are two of them. One rides into the other) This created friction at that point (top of mount) and solved the problem. There is no way to tighten this as the brackets are riveted. They should
