Very good relay: switch and relay

I have only used this relay about a hundred times. I use it for resistance spot welding with fiberglass. 34 car battery with approx. 550 cca. I use 4 AWG wire, short circuit from 800 ms to 1 second. The cables get a little warm. The relay closes and opens without error. I haven't measured the current flowing through the relay. I don't have any equipment that will give me accurate readings at this speed. I would definitely trust this relay to be used for any application. I took it apart to check

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works great with my ham radio

I installed a ham radio in the trunk and connected it to the battery. Radio consumes 25A. After a couple of falls where the radio stayed on and off due to a dead battery, I installed it on an extra fuse under the dash and connected the battery to the relay terminal and the radio to the other relay terminal. Now the ignition key turns off the radio when the car is turned off. The relay is hidden just under the dashboard. I will be ordering another to turn my 48v electric lawn mower on and off…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Ideal. No noise, no buggy, just works. Full output voltage with no drop

My old Mercedes' headlights were no longer getting the full 12v (or more accurately 14.3v from the alternator) so I decided to use these to connect directly to the battery . As wires age and internally corrode, their ability to carry stress decreases. If your headlights are getting 12.0V instead of the supposed 14.0V, you're only getting about half the light output they're designed for. I just take the headlight power and use it to power this solenoid and then connect it directly. from the…

Works great in my solar array to protect my batteries

I have a small solar array to power my home server and home security system. This relay is connected to a low voltage disconnect, my batteries with 6AWG wire and my inverter with another 6AWG wire. It was a little tight connecting two tips to this relay, but I was able to route everything the way I wanted. , and so far the relay hasn't caused any power issues with my setup. On average, it turns on every day for 13-14 hours and gets a little warm, but does not turn off. To be honest I've only…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
