Updated - on account

Updated rating reduced to 1 star. The adapter does not provide a stable connection to the computer. Items are constantly disconnected when connected to this hub. Don't worry, buy something else. It works fine, but uses a proprietary connector for power. If it breaks or you lose your power supply, you're probably out of luck.

Solves USB problems for a good price, buy right or buy twice

Like many others, I've built many small hubs over the years, creating a serial mess that mostly only worked even though I had the USB -Constraint topology followed one, ie no deeper than 5 levels. This got rid of the clutter and fixed the issue where the drives sometimes turn on and don't show up until I reboot. The Pros78 watt power supply should be able to spin up 8 2.5" USB drives simultaneously. A thoughtfully designed laptop like a power supply isn't a wall, buttons and ports are well…

Keeps things charged

I only use this for payment not data. I bought this for all my cycling and running gear which is USB rechargeable. Especially for the low season, but of course works all year round. Accessories I don't use for months can stay plugged in, and about every 4 weeks I press the power button to turn the device on so the battery doesn't die or get damaged from sitting when I use it months later . I usually have 8 devices connected and cycle through individual cells as needed.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • This makes me angry

Indicator lights are very small, useless

Works well but since the lights are almost invisible, the user leaves them on all the time and loses the main purpose of the product. To be honest, I'm also a white color, I don't know about black, maybe better.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Hub Powered USB Hub

This USB hub is conveniently placed under my monitor where I can easily connect external storage, headsets and the like. Overall, it works great for saving space on the computer itself, where important devices can be plugged in directly. On the first day of use I had a small issue activating the jack for my headset, other devices, mouse and direct attached storage. But after playing around with it for a few minutes, it's been working fine ever since. I've been using it for about two weeks and…

LEDs don't work, poor quality control

USB hub with 7 ports works for charging, but none of the LEDs work. It's impossible to tell if a port is on or off unless you look closely at the height of each button. It doesn't work as described.

  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
