This is a great way to carry a flashlight with an internal battery. It not only saves valuable space on the steering wheel, but also illuminates the road better thanks to the low position of the lamp. I bought two of these to put headlights on either side of the bike and make my presence even more visible to motorists.

  • Great design
Cons
  • So-so

Plug without internal thread

Came with screw but the connector itself had no internal thread so the screw just fell out. Useless. UPDATE: I was able to install this by removing the plastic cover and threading a screw from the inside of the connector into the threaded eyelet on my A-pillar. Not sure if this is the intended install or not as no instructions are included or available online that I could find, but it seems to be working for now. The bolt is long enough to go through the eye so I can't add a lock nut to further

Great product.: Accessory

I wanted to remove the headlight from the steering wheel for a number of reasons. One was not dazzling drivers when they approach me on a dual carriageway, and not illuminating cars when I was behind them at stoplights or in slow-moving traffic. Another benefit, it really lights up the road in front of me, is closer to the ground. Yes, I have wheel shades, but I'm willing to use upgraded streetlights every day because of this problem. Not to mention that this little gadget freed up space on myโ€ฆ

Bought 2 and will probably use 2 more on another bike

Not bad but should be cheaper. Threaded directly into my grommets with a hex head screw. I have taillights on both sides and love the look, plus I don't want to get hit by a car. I have paired 2 of these with 2 Gilramco rechargeable taillights with great results as expected. I suppose I could screw it through the hole in the top fork to make a permanent headlight mount to save handlebar space. Almost anything that attaches to poles can be slotted into any available grommet. It looks like theโ€ฆ

  • Weight

This eye stud was connected to a Portland Design Works lunch basket so I got it. It was cheaper than other plugs and had decent reviews. Problem? The supplied screw was too short for the PDW basket. Mine also didn't have a nut to go the other way and hold it in place, although there's always a small chance I just didn't see it when it hit the floor and got into my vacuum. I took it to a hardware store and they sorted it for a dollar. Works great now. I put tape on it and put a two fishโ€ฆ

Origin 8 product Well done!

Love the Origin 8 pcs. The HD Cargo Rack is already here and it's perfect, so I had no doubts about the quality of the end caps. Check out my review of the rack and the complete bike. It's pretty straight forward. You attach these bugs to your solder mounts and have a little extra room to save space on the handlebars or add some extras. My only advice is to put a washer on the inside of the bolt and end caps for a tight fit. The easiest 30 second accessory for your bike. I moved the bell andโ€ฆ
