Does the job of parts and components

Works great so far, just wish it lasted a little longer. The tether bend is a bit tight in the post and there is no room for a barn adjuster.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Large and bulky

fits rear cantilever brakes

Perfect to set up my bike with cantilever brakes. It fits the cable snugly, but once in place it looks neat and the cable runs smoothly.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Damaged

Totally useless

Totally useless. Complete debris about 1 inch long. Running a brake cable through this suspension is a silly exercise. Cheaply made and useless. Should be twice as long. Other reviews are correct, no point in buying this

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Null

Stupid useless design

This item needs to be at least twice the length. It barely fits in the brake cable housing itself - good luck squeezing that mess between the seatpost nuts. To be honest I'm confused that this thing made it into production, nobody actually tests their products in the real world? Don't waste your time, it's useless.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

B) The holder's "arm " is quite short. It would be much easier to use.

Well made. However, I have two suggestions for improvement: A) The screw hole of the seat post is very narrow. This does not work for older larger diameter bolt systems, only for quick release bolts. B) The holder's "arm" is quite short. If it was 2cm longer, it would be more convenient to use.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Worked great on my old JMC (with a bit of tweaking)

Unfortunately the old Dia-Compe MX-1000 brakes are no longer available so I switched to a center link brake with a bolt -on adapters. This cord hanger was the perfect piece to get it working properly. I had to drill the hole a bit and make it a bit thinner, but it works and the brakes feel solid. The short overall length was an advantage for this application.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Looks neat and easy to assemble. Unfortunately it isn't.

This product has a poor design. I liked the simplicity of the design and I need something like this to install rear brakes on my bike. Just NOT exactly like this product. The distance between the attachment point and the cable entry point is too small. The brake cable must pass over, under, or around the head of the bolt or nut at the attachment point and then straightened to enter the hole. But the brake cable jacket just doesn't bend. Especially if you mount that little center line of thing…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
