Description of Original Engine Management MS21 Sensor

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensors ensure EPA and CARB compliance on OBD2 vehicles. If the evaporative emissions systems has a leak or the vehicle's gas cap is loose, the sensor is calibrated to command the PCM to illuminate the CEL alerting driver of issue. Manufactured to OE specification for fit, form, and function. Heavy-duty thermoplastic housing. Precison-engineered circuit for faster response time.

Bought one from a dealership, now the truck works perfectly. This is cheaper.

Connected. Truck drives, same manifold pressure code present. Bought one from a dealership, now the truck works perfectly. It's more economical, but doesn't work at all. Garbage!

Pros
  • If the EVAP system is leaking or the vehicle's gas cap is loose, the sensor will calibrate to command the PCM to turn on the CEL and alert the driver to the problem.
