Disappointing on install, works fine when on

I managed to get it on my Camelbak Antidote but it was definitely a frustrating process. I finally decided that I would either wear it or try it, so I had a friend hold the hose while I opened the loop with two pairs of pliers and slipped it over the hose. To my great surprise, it actually worked. But now that it's on the hose, it works great.

Works great on my Platypus Hoser!

This thing is awesome. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Is it a necessity? No, but it sure is nice! The magnet is strong enough to hold the hose in place, making hose removal and replacement a truly one-handed evolution. Most clamps I've used in the past hold up well, but make using and replacing the hose a little painful. This thing solves all those problems. I use ours for the Hoser platypus and it matches the snorkel perfectly. If you have very thick insulated hose you may not…

All I Ever Wanted: Hydration Packs and Hydration Bladders

I attached this to my Camelbak. Why? Because one day I was riding my Camelbak bike and the cheap plastic clamp holding the stock hose fell off. And then I fell off my bike for the first time in twenty years. This is very annoying. Falling is scary. Anyway I needed to replace this clip and figured why not update? So I bought this magnetic clip and it's pretty cool. I've used it on a couple of rides, it holds the hose in place properly, the magnet snaps it back into place and keeps it there while

Perfect fit for my camelback hydrator for cycling.

I have an Osprey touring daypack with a hydraulic hose magnet and straps and it's broken. My new Camelback cycling reservoir doesn't have a magnetic mount and I've been looking for a bite valve for too long. This is my decision. It fits in my camelback backpack and does exactly what I need it to do. Now I lean down and my bite valve is right where it needs to be and I don't have to take my eyes off the road. Camelback has a similar product but I know Osprey's reputation and quality control will

Decent product but not for sport motorsport or trackdays

I ride through the canyons on a Superbike/Sportbike and thought a magnetic accessory would make it easy to attach my Ogio hydration tube. As it turns out there are two problems: 1) The clamp that fits the 1/4" pipe isn't tight enough. I believe this can be fixed quite easily, but if it works properly it is considered a problem. 2) When riding a sport bike fast, not only is it difficult to connect the tube cover to the bottom plate manually, but the magnet is not strong enough to hold it. Track…

MUST BE! for hydration packs and hydration bladders

Absolutely necessary if you use a hydration bladder! Never again will you reach for that elusive hose to fetch water. I was originally going to buy the Camelbak brand version, but this was a few dollars cheaper, has better reviews, and is smaller and better looking. As I only have this one I can't really compare them but I can say this Osprey does not disappoint. I am a traveller/tourist and also carry a small backpack on a daily basis and the magnet has never let me down. This is a very small…

  • Can be retrofitted
