Affordable and work as they should

Obviously not the highest quality but I've been using them for about a year now and they still work consistently. I haven't had any problems with them.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Marketable

Better than Chinese but not a proto

The edge on these is not sharp. Two blunt surfaces that crush metal instead of cutting it. I sharpened one side and it helped, but I had to buy another pair of protos.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Better than I expected

Much better quality than I expected. Made in Taiwan. They're actually pretty small, but it's my fault I didn't study them enough. The turning mechanism is reliable and smooth-running. Very good fit and finish all around. In general I am very happy with them.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Frustrated handyman, this might be useful for other purposes.

I make crafts out of safety pins and wire. Twisting the wire is hard on the wrist. I was happy to find three pliers that could twist and cut the wire. However, I cannot fix the .032 in the grip so that I can twist the wire. upset.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Unnamed brand you get what you pay for

Pretty poor quality tool, the one I received already had a lot of surface corrosion, wasn't oiled and the paint was peeling off in a big sheet. However, the screw turning function was awash with machine grease, and the center slide took a lot of grease to move.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

Amazing quality Best in Vise and Locking Pliers

I have the snap on version and also these safety wire pliers. I've had to replace the latch every 3 months, they hardly needed a drop of oil. My only complaint is that the wire cutters aren't made for heavier gauge wire, but I still prefer to use separate cutters. Fantastic quality for the price.

Pros
  • 8 inch universal pliers twists safety wire safe and fast
Cons
  • Not sure

New tool for me, worked great for a wire project

I had a project for a local utility company and needed to lay wires on a board. I've tried zipties and other things and nothing has worked. Finally, a friend who works with cars suggested this tool; Man I'm glad it's so easy to use and worked great! Take your time if a broken wire could leave you stuck, but that's the user's fault, not the tool's. Works great and is worth the money

Pros
  • Right hand twister with automatic spring return
Cons
  • I'll text back

The most profitable safety wire cutter!

As with everything, I rate these pliers for their value for money. These are not the best safety wire cutters I have ever used. Mechanically they are a little tight and could have had sharper edges. Still, I think these are probably the best bang for your buck. You can pay $200 for snap-on pliers that are a little better, but why? Everything about them works well enough that I can get the job done without any extra effort. Highly Recommended.

Pros
  • Forged alloy steel construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
