Difficult to use a good fuel line disconnect tool

There is no place in my truck to crawl behind the heater core lines and put this tool in there and clamp them while pulling very hard on it other vehicles can The bad ones aren't great but I suggest getting the ones that have handles as well as a small bar that aligns the tool I had to cut off because it has to be perfectly aligned to cut off what I cut off it has works better. Now this tool actually works, it just disabled both lines.

  • Handy thingy

2005 Chevy SilveradoHD 2500HD LS, Perfect

This little tool is a life saver. I used it on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS with a 6.0 petrol engine. It fits both heater hose adapters and I removed them both within 15 minutes. The hardest part is sliding them backwards, but once they go in I twisted the heater hose adapters and they slide right off. I turned about 1/4" left and 1/4" right and they both just slid out. Highly recommended

Mandatory in fuel system tools

Some people have stated that this tool does not require anything or else on the quick connector to disconnect it from the heater core. To remove this thing you can either cut it off (and risk damaging the heater core) or use this tool. One more note: I needed a tool to set up a new quick connect, basically I reversed the action to remove the original. The original would snap easily, but the new one wouldn't. Take my advice, save yourself the grief, get this tool if you are looking to replace…

Pros
  • High score for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Quick release does not go fast without this tool.

The photo shows this tool on the back of the hose to the right of the firewall, the tool works great. You simply slip it over the hose and pull forward while pulling the leash to release. I learned it the hard way, having recently replaced the oil pressure sensor and removed the brake booster quick disconnect hose without a quick disconnect tool. Of course it wasn't fast, it wasn't fun, it wasn't easy. This tool made it easy to remove the quick connector where my branched radiator hose enters…

If you are disconnecting the heater core you will need this tool

I have 2 sets of quick disconnect tools but none of them were deep enough to operate the quick couplers on my truck. I have a set of very shallow ones and another set of deeper ones. This was the deepest of them all. That made the work a lot easier. I still had a hard time reaching behind the quick coupler and pulling out the hose, but this tool is essential even if you have quick coupler tools. I had to twist the tool back and forth a bit after inserting it to make sure the quick release was…
