I just signed up to buy another runner, just like our picture, so we have one for when we entertain and one who leaves 24 hours for our active family + two dogs. The rubber base also adds to the pluses. We searched and sorted through other rugs that didn't have what we needed, but this one is perfect for our needs!

This is a great runner for a home with young children. We live in Pennsylvania and my kids usually trace a snowy path from the front door over a very large rug and across the hardwood floor. If they take off their shoes/boots at the door, the snow stuck to their legs will fall off as they walk. This runner helped minimize the snow trail. I only bought this about 4 months ago so its durability has yet to be fully tested. So far, however, he has survived two adults and a St. Bernard without any problems. This is the second Ottomanson rug I have bought in the last few months. The first was a slider that I use under the sink and dishwasher in my kitchen. In my kitchen, the tiles on the floor show EVERYTHING. So I bought a mat to hide stains, smudges, crumbs, drips, water stains, etc. After a few months of using the mat, it still looks brand new. Very good carpet, perfect width although it would have been possible to add about 1 foot length but could not find such a length. Although everything will be fine. I like the color scheme, clean lines, not overloaded and matching my color scheme. After using it for a while I will update if anything changes.
