One tray holds 2 cups of liquid. Each ice cube is 1/3 cup. I use them for a Heilsud (healing medium). I fill a tray with broth, freeze it, then let it sit on the counter for 3-5 minutes and the cubes pop out easily.

The "lid" for this is only on top. She doesn't snap. Due to the flexibility of the container, it's difficult to get it in the freezer without spilling some of the contents. You also need a perfectly flat surface in the freezer or it will leak out on the sides.

I was only going to give 4 stars for "easy to remove" but I think that's my problem, not the trays. This is my second attempt at making large square ice cube trays and they are way better than the plastic ones. Just don't fill them to the brim, I leave about 1/4 inch empty and that helped with removal. You are no longer cold.

When I received this product I washed it then filled it and let it do its job. As soon as I put it in my cup of water, I noticed ugly white floats and a white film around my cup. super rough I googled it, maybe because of hard water (but I have a water softener) and it said to clean it and soak it in vinegar, but after cleaning it again I haven't tried it yet. If you overfill the bowl, you will get a frozen rock that will not come out one by one with ice cubes.

I read the reviews and expected their fragility, but that's why they work so well. I put two on a dollar tree tray and that keeps them stable and catches any water that might spill because my family isn't careful. The purpose of the lids is essentially to keep things out of the ice. They come out very easily and are great for large water bottles. Our ice machine broke and this is a great temporary fix.

I ordered these in May and hid them to be part of a Father's Day gift. That's the worst thing I could add to a gift. The lids don't hold, I didn't fill them all the way but there was still water/ice underneath. Get ready for a freezer mayhem. I gave up, took them out and just sat down to make a return. Unfortunately I missed the return deadlines as these were not given immediately. Do yourself a favor and find another guy.
