Shine bright in the night. The upper part is made of copper-colored lacquered plastic. Our old one was a real copper metal upper.

So it's been just over 4 months since they were installed. All 4 solar panels on both lamps are foggy and cloudy (whitish) I do not recommend it. Looks good at first glance, but not for long.

They look good at night but don't give that much light, don't expect them to light up your deck more for show in that regard. I feel they are a bit overpriced for what they are and they are certainly not the best made items, they are typical of what comes out of China.

I installed 4 of these on the deck a few years ago. A tornado hit our property last November with extensive damage. Only one of the lights burned out so I ordered 2 new ones (one of the lights stopped working so I replaced 2). The new ones are a little lighter. I really wish they were actually metal (looks like metal) and not plastic.
