Through trial and error, I found that this backpack was a huge letdown on my boating trip. While it claims to be waterproof, my belongings still got wet. The design is uncomfortable and not practical for carrying gear.

Great kayak backpack. Seals very well and then the ribbon ties it. I like the 2 side cup holders. Excellent back ventilation for a dry vinyl bag on your back.

Bought to keep my camera dry (can easily hold a DSLR with lens attached) and carry dog stuff. I use it all the time. I just wanted protection from rain and the occasional water and this is a great bag. There was no talk of laying, but it wasn't necessary. The mesh water bottle pocket is great, and dog treats fit in another. Very useful as a backpack. I love this bag and can use it every day.
