Love this oiler and answer dipstick question

After my cat broke my glass oiler I needed an oiler that would fit the oil in my fridge. But I didn't want to get plasticky (didn't want to look like Tupperware. It's not that I don't like a good Tupperware product or two!). That turned out to be perfect for me. The top stays in place so when my furry kitchen help nudges it with her nose, there's no fur left on the butter. And the rubber feet prevent that very nose from pressing the entire record to the ground. (No, I disagree with my cats onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Compatibility

Genuine Honda oiler (because Cadillacs are too expensive)

First of all it holds my oil which is fantastic. Also, the dimensions are stamped on it so I can easily snip off a 1 tsp stick of butter if I want to. The rubber feet are nice because they keep the plate from sliding around on the table (although I've never had a problem with pans without legs) and because they lift the plate slightly which makes lifting easier. (I know this sounds like a silly comment, but I had a previous cymbal that was too low and was really hard to get off a smoothโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

My least favorite part of this dish is the lid

I had a butter stick container which I really liked. The one you just stick your butter stick (wrapper and all) in and it fits and snaps perfectly. The best part is that it fits perfectly in my butter compartment in the fridge, doesn't take up much space and I can drop it a million times over (because to be honest I keep garlic and other things in that compartment so it gets crowded a lot) and it never breaks ! I love it. Until it finally ripped (at least 6 years later. They really are durable)

Pros
  • Butter saucers
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It's a better oil than most, but far from perfect.

It is easy to paint and fresh (there I mentioned those non-essential features as suggested). The lid is light, has no unfavorable cone, so it can be easily removed and put on again even with slippery hands. If it had grooves it would be even better (it doesn't have to be deep or have sharp corners; just rounded notches on each side help arthritic hands hold it well). The base is too light. It is worn when the oil is cooled. We decided to leave it on the counter to keep the butter soft. But that

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • Small parts

This isn't just a butter dish.

Okay, okay. I know it's a butter dish, not an air conditioner, not an IoT-enabled IoT WiFi, a WPA2-encrypted can of whipped cream, or whatever, but even the "simple things" in life should be recognized and appreciated when they're doing something right . Back for a minute, let me explain what my previous experiences with butter dishes were before this one came up: simple. About as easy as they come. White ceramic butter dish. which was good. Everything was good. If you have one now, I'm sureโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dinnerware and serving dishes
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
