Use it daily in dishes and serving utensils

I bought this coffee maker a few months ago and I use it daily! It is well preserved and very easy to use. I have washed and air dried so not sure if it will hold up well in the dishwasher. The glass carafe is lowered into a metal stand with a handle, making all parts a pleasure to wash. However, the top edge of the metal is really sharp and I've cut myself on it a few times, not much, just paper cut like slits. Otherwise I have no complaints. All I know is that I have to be careful when…

Great replacement if you accidentally break your parent's carafe

My parents bought a french press and they love it. I dropped the carafe while cleaning and it broke. Luckily, a replacement was available from Revain, so my parents ignored the problem. Revain is a great resource for finding things to replace with what you broke, such as: B. a soap dish, a carafe, a chef's wall decoration, a non-IT-rare glass cup, etc. very clumsy. On the one hand, be careful when washing the carafe.

Great solution to get reasons from the press!

I wanted an easier way to get the coffee grounds out of my french press since I learned the hard way not to dump them down the sink. I've searched everywhere and was excited to find this system but worried I was wasting my money. I'm glad I took the risk! This works very well; not perfect, but I can get about 95% of the coffee grounds out of this press before rinsing out the rest. Definitely a better solution for me than dumping and destroying them. Costs money.

Bad design, used once and thrown away!

Poor design, I replaced my traditional French press with an OXO hoping it would be easier to clean with the bottom paddle mechanism. It's easier to clean, but that's about it. Made coffee twice and both times TONS of grounds ended up in my coffee AND I had to constantly clean the pour strainer so I could pour the coffee into my cup. Terrible. I will go back to the original French press I had before and I am happy with the fact that it is more difficult to clean without grinding for better…

Probably not worth it

ADVANTAGES: 1. TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Coffee grounds are easy to spill. 2. Keeps the coffee warm a little longer (but not too much). LOSS: 1. When you push the plunger it tends to spill some coffee onto the side/front of the table. Happens often enough that it bothers me when I pour from it. 2. Due to the silicone base (which holds the coffee grounds) not as much water fits in the French Press resulting in less coffee. 3. If the top is not perfectly aligned with the spout, water will 100% flow…

You will drink a lot of coffee grounds.

Disappointed. Bought because the earth jack seemed like a great idea, and rightly so. But the piston strainer doesn't fit snugly against the carafe. The ground coffee will inevitably wash over the plunger and end up floating in your coffee. The strainer on the spout catches the large coffee grounds, but the fine particles go straight through and end up in your cup. The last few sips are a gritty, muddy mess. I've experimented with coarser grinds, but even with almost whole beans, there are…

Very disappointing Oxo

The overall quality of the Oxo product is surprisingly poor. As you can see from the photos, the metal rim of the glass carafe is anything but round. The picture of the silicone slider shows the gap it leaves in the carafe, this is a 1/8" thick bamboo skewer that easily fits in the gap. the plunger is also very cheaply made for an Oxo product. When brewing it leaves not too much ground in the drink but that's not very good. At the moment I'm not sure I'll be back. A bit pricey for the quality…

Not bad, but not great either.

With this French Press you essentially sacrifice the quality of your cup of coffee for easier cleaning than a traditional French Press. Are there better French presses? Absolutely. But this one isn't that bad. I bought it for office use. I personally love strong coffee. But I've always found it a little tedious to clean a regular French Press in the office. I bought this one thinking the extra bucket would help raise the soil and in fact it definitely clears most of it. The problem with this…
