Long-lived but has nasty mucus in later life.

This thing has survived every other squeeze but some black is starting to ooze from the hinge area. My guess is that if the lemon/lime juice is left in for too long, the metal of the pan will start to discolor a bit. Come on Oxi! make it better

Leaking handles in kitchen and dining room

The juicer works pretty well, I think it leaves some juice when you squeeze a lime. after it is taken out of the water, it takes a long time to flow. Next time I will use a model with different grips.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Waste of $$$ 🙄 for Manual Juicers

This would be a great citrus press if its yellow paint didn't crack and peel. Yellow painting/cheap paintwork is not necessary with this kitchen utensil. To be honest, the quality of OXO seems to have gotten worse over the last few years and that's disappointing. OXO must join forces to ensure quality.

Strong hands required

Good for getting the most juice out of lemons or limes. However, this requires a decent grip. My wife has to use two hands and quite an effort. My kids can't do it without help. The only other disappointment is that the powder coating began to peel off within the first year of occasional use. For the money and the OXO name, I expected it to hold its finish better.

  • Absolute legend

Great kitchen utensils!

Superb dishes! I've read other reviews of yellow color, peeling paint or not being able to get all the juice out of the limes/lemons. The yellow color doesn't bother me; This is a citrus press, not a table decoration. Secondly, when the color begins to fade, it is clear that the juice contains citric acid. Therefore, it may disappear over time or shortly after heavy use. Third, if you're not getting all the juice, put the lemon/lime in the juicer properly. Visit YouTube University if needed…

What was OXO thinking?

I love OXO products. They are generally well designed, easy to use, and very durable. Spring. Then there's their citrus press. It looks like a competition. It has a rubberized grip and an unusual knob print instead of the usual round one. There were 3 problems: First, the handle required a lot more pressure than any other juicer I've had. It was difficult to use. Second, regardless of the design, the juicer didn't squeeze limes and lemons well. Third, the bright yellow color could not withstand

  • Happy so far

  • Embarrassed

Has a major design flaw

I had one of the standard yellow juicers. The paint was peeling off after heavy use, so I opted for something more durable. At first this juicer seemed to get the job done. But in the end I discovered a flaw in its design. Look at the second picture in the description and you will see that there is a hump sticking out in the middle of the bottom cup. This bulge creates an area around itself where the citrus fruits are not bruised. I was squeezing limes at a friend's when I got suspicious, so I…

Not as good as I first thought

At first I thought the citrus juicer was easier to use and gave more juice than squeezing by hand or using a citrus expander. I've been making a lot of margaritas this summer and decided I needed a tool that doesn't require as much pressing force and makes more juice. Then I bought a KitchenAid Juicer Attachment. Yes, more expensive but much easier to use, fruit really cleans and makes more juice faster. The image shows a comparison of a KitchenAid juicer, a citrus reamer and a citrus press…
