🍳 OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Turner - Brushed Finish Review

This spatula has bad design features. The leading edge of the blade is too thick and not beveled, which makes it useless as a turner. The soft grip material (black) on the underside of the handle does not adhere properly to the SS about halfway down the line due to food debris, soapy water, etc. getting stuck between the SS and the soft black material and it is very difficult (impossible?) to pull out and to clean. I am very disappointed in OXO and this product.

We bought this lathe along with 5 other brands of stainless steel lathes. It is by far the best in design, quality, weight and feel. I personally like the grip and neck thickness. This should last a very long time. I highly recommend OXO products. In our particular situation we will use them for construction purposes because they are not a tool for our task. I bought this almost 4 years ago and all my other spatulas failed. This is my favorite spatula and I usually use it for lunch or pancakes. It always seems to be very durable and looks the same as when you bought it, despite being washed in the dishwasher almost every day. At one of the upscale kitchen supply stores in the Bay Area, I expect a ladle with this look to sell four times as much as Revain. I mean, this thing exudes quality, from its weight in the hand to the sheen of brushed stainless steel. I'm a proponent of buying the best kitchen essentials because you only have to buy them once. I bought this spoon about 5 years ago and it has become my favorite spoon and has about twice the capacity of what I would consider a 'normal' size. It's big, heavy, well built and I've never been disappointed with any Oxo product I've purchased. Some might not like the size, but it comes in handy for soups, chillies, and pasta salads when you really don't want to dip a lot into something and a lot of things fall... and not much falls off that spoon. This item costs twice what I would pay at my local supermarket, but it is also much better. Most of them are solid pieces of good, strong steel.
