Disappointing kitchen utensils

Look elsewhere. The wood at the scoop end of the spoon began to splinter after only two or three uses - don't leave it in the water or damage the wood, just normal use in the kitchen. I have wooden utensils that I've been using for almost twenty years that have never cracked or cracked. While overall I'm happy with OXO products, this is a waste of money.

Drops pancakes out of the pan instead of flipping them!

This is NOT a pinball machine, this is a pusher. The spatula is so thick that when you try to pick up the food, it doesn't slip under it, but rams and pushes it from the side. I can't believe how awful my pancakes made with this have turned out. The same goes for the hash browns, which I tried to flip. Torn to pieces. Buy this if you want a miserable dining experience!

Pros
  • So far everything seems to be set

  • Weak

Great if you know this trick to spice things up

I already knew from the reviews that this spoon arrived very dry. I have seen many people who have experienced his split. The trick is to oil it, but the spoon is so dry and thirsty that it just drinks the oil and tries again in a few minutes. In the end, I decided to season it the same way I would a cast iron skillet. shortening. Put on disposable gloves, take a stick of butter and rub it with a wooden spoon. I used vegetable oil but I'm sure you can use any other. Then take a dry paper towel…

Useful angled spoon

I needed a flat bottomed spoon to stir sauces. When I first got this OXO Good Grips Angled Wooden Spoon, I thought it would sit at the back of the utensil drawer and rarely be used. The wooden spoon I received has a rough surface. Also, it's a lot thicker and chunkier than the wooden spoons I usually use for cooking. That's a lot to hit this spoon from the start. But I decided to give the spoon a try anyway and found I used it occasionally to roast vegetables and stir soups. The flat rim is…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost never

I ordered this small wooden spoon thinking it had a long handle but I couldn't find the length here too much on this site and the spoon size was what I was looking for . What a shock when I received it. Not only was the handle short for a child, but the wood was coarse and light, like the cork oak I remember as a child. it was for him. I got bored with it and just took it back and sanded it smooth and oiled it with Howard's oil, the spoon doesn't feel that porous but I will never buy an OXO…
