Stopped working after a few weeks

Unfortunately this thermometer had a very short life. It worked well, reading temperatures quickly most of the time, and was a solid companion for everyday use in the kitchen. Overall, we were very happy with it, but after a few weeks of its life, the screen began to fade in places and the temperature deviated greatly from the norm. Water at room temperature was measured in the 2000s. We kept the head of the thermometer out of the water during cleaning, but assuming some moisture got inside, I…

Totally Useless - Instantly Readable

I've only used this once and let me tell you what happened. I roasted a whole chicken that I had salted the day before. I set my oven to 350 and roasted at 20 minutes per pound. Then I tried the thermometer. He showed that the thigh meat was 188 degrees. I was terribly worried. Who wants to eat dried chicken? I thought to myself. So I tried to test the breast meat. This thermometer solves at least two problems I have every year cooking Thanksgiving turkey. Firstly my current analogue thermometer takes a good 15-20 seconds to take the temperature and since the turkey is always so heavy I take it in the oven ie the door is open for 15-20 seconds letting the precious heat escape . This thermometer measures the temperature in less than 5 seconds. Second, I constantly google "turkey core temp" while cooking a turkey and then try to figure out what temperature…
