Didn't stop my subwoofer from popping on auto-stop/start

Unfortunately it didn't stop my subwoofer from popping, but my problem was a little more unique in that it occurs when my car auto-stop /Start enabled has happened Start. That is, the car stops at a red light, the engine stops, but the radio continues to work. If the brake is then released, the engine will restart and a loud click will be heard. It won't fix it.

Pros
  • Slim design

  • Disappear

Works great with amplifier wiring kits

Used when the amplifier cable for my main unit didn't work so I was able to use a different power supply. Works exactly as it should, my subwoofer doesn't crackle when I turn on the truck. One thing to note: it doesn't reset immediately. So if you turn it on and turn off the alarm and then turn it back on quickly, the time will not be delayed. This is due to its design, due to which any delay works with a capacitor.

  • Great for me
Cons
  • Good mostly but...

Relay does not seem to work

Continuous 12 volt battery voltage constantly flows through the remote control cable. The input trigger just hovers in the air. In fact, the ground wire can also be disconnected without affecting the TR-4. After my battery died, I assumed my release cable must have been wrong. But no, my amp keeps working no matter what I do with the trigger (including turning it off). I need a 12v relay with a 5v trigger. Will be updated based on PAC Technical Support response.

  • Very good quality

Works great on factory head units without external power amplifier output

Fits me perfectly. I connected the amp and new speakers to my factory head unit which doesn't have a remote amp output. So I bought this to act as a long distance signal. I connected all the power wires directly to my amp and then connected the blue wire to the preamp speaker wire. Now my amp turns on when I turn on the radio and there is no longer a loud popping sound due to the delay. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a remote control cable attached to their main unit.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • New competition

Exactly what I needed to add an amplifier to the

Very small, fits easily behind the dash, clear instructions, works as described, uses the speaker wire as a trigger. Just a note, the 6 volts DC present between the factory stereo speaker output and ground will remain on for approximately 30 seconds after the radio is turned off. It also turns back on when the doors are unlocked remotely. But it turns off again if you don't start the car. This has not caused any problems and appears to be normal for CAN-BUS systems in new vehicles.

Pros
  • main unit. Everything is OK!
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Unreliable - it suddenly stopped turning off my system

It worked for a while (about 2-3 months) then it got stuck no matter you have a signal input or keep it floating. I learned this the hard way after completely draining my battery and needing a power start. Mine may have been faulty but it worked initially so I had no reason to keep checking whether or not it shut down my system so I felt it was unreliable. It's such a shame because I really liked how small it is and the fact that it was made by PAC. Unfortunately I have to look elsewhere to…

added to secondary remote control for multiple audio components

It states that the green wire should be connected to the speaker low voltage wire. I was hoping this would work to allow remote power on wire from the aftermarket Pioneer Head Service. Device for switching on several audio components. I connected the amplifiers (2), an electronic crossover and a 12V power supply with a digital voltage display to the blue wire and everything worked (so far so good). I never knew that the remote output cable was really only meant to be used for a remote audio…

quite disappointing.

I tried this on a 2016 Camaro with a Bose audio system, the receiver only has a digital output so you can only use the amplifier's speaker outputs. The problem is that the factory amplifier mutes the output of the speaker connected to the module when it is turned on, so the module will not turn on with the remote control and you will have no sound on the speaker. I tried disconnecting the speaker so only the module was connected to the factory amp output but I had the same result, I tried…
