Works great on older cars with aftermarket receivers

This bypass worked great when I connected it to an Alpine iLX-207 aftermarket receiver that I recently installed in my 2006 Toyota Matrix XRS. The car does not have a cable connecting the parking brake to the AV receiver. My Alpine receiver is set by default to say "Settings are unavailable due to vehicle movement" unless connected to the vehicle's bypass or parking brake sensor wire. This bypass is pre-configured to bypass each parking brake and rear camera input; Simply connect the…

There is Alpine, but there is not quite.

One of the reasons I always buy Alpine is because it's like the old Hertz sales slogan: There's Alpine and there's not. This module works great and I agree with the reviews here: It works great for Alpine. For others? Not really. The only problem for me was that the instructions aren't as clear as they should be. For Alpine users, there is a yellow instruction box that mentions connecting the module to an Alpine remote output, which can be confusing as my Alpine IVE-W530 requires a remote cable

It worked great for half a year. Now I'm buying a second one.

I've had this season for two years now and I like it with one big caveat. After about a year and a half he stopped working. I use it to delay the stereo turning off for a few seconds when I start the car. Therefore, the Bluetooth connection to my phone (for Pandora and Audible) should not be restored. The TR-7 is excellent for this purpose. However, after a year and a half, he began to fail regularly. Sometimes the power stayed on for the programmed time, and sometimes it went off as if it…

Works reasonably well but difficult to program

I bought this to bypass the brakes (along with the relay) on a Pioneer AppRadio 1 that I have installed in my company car. It works 90% of the time, the other 10% I haven't determined if this is an issue with AppRadio or TR7. I'm not deducting a star for that, as it's not enough for simple troubleshooting. What I will complain about: - Programming. Of course, if you just want the standard Alpine program, this should be easy. But when you have to program it to turn on and off with a delay, it's…

Powerful and Efficient Problem Solving Device

Along with written instructions, online materials and the like, this is a very functional and neat device that is easy to use. Various applications are mapped to configuration numbers that you "program" with pulses. brown wire to ground when 12V power and ground are applied to these wires. It's not exactly an obvious process, but with a suitable 12Vdc power supply (or slightly more) and a morse key (or similarly functioning momentary switch) to create the "ripple" it's easy enough…

Door to open the window. You have to insert the key and turn and hold for 3 seconds. That's just stupid of Toyota. So I found a good article on how to bypass this feature with this PAC TR-7 unit and use the key fob unlock button to unlock the rear window. Here is the description: [.] The description contains detailed information about the required parts and steps for installation. Programming on this device is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You basically connect the black and red…
