Pleasantly surprised!

The converter worked fine for my car, the only problem was the o-ring was the wrong size. I had to pay extra for one from Toyota.

Perfect for the price and comes with a gasket.

Perfect for the price and comes with a gasket you might want to mention so the future buyer doesn't have to order an extra gasket as I ended up returning it.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons

Rav4 Catalyst

Very well made for the aftermarket, fitted perfectly. All shields as well as mounting bolts fit perfectly. Finally no engine light on my Rav4! Plus, it was shipped quickly and was $75 cheaper than all the others ($253 at the time of purchase).

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Nothing

Great well done manifold catalyst with a few issues

Worked well overall and fixed the check engine light issue on a 2001 Toyota RAV4. The mechanic identified a couple of issues. First, the two gaskets included in the kit were of lower quality than the gaskets purchased separately. Also, the bottom seal must be an O-ring seal, not the flat gasket provided. The most problematic is that one of the bottom bolt mounts was welded in the wrong place. The other bracket fits well and seems to hold the part in place well. It was the most economical part I

Pros
  • Handy item

  • Some issues

2001 Toyota RAV-4 Emissions

I used this to replace the header on my 2001 Toyota RAV-4. Seems to be a quality direct replacement. The elbows, welds, material and design appear to be equal or better than the OEM part, although I can't judge the quality of the catalytic converter. The distributor plate going against the engine is the most obvious difference. The pacesetter is very thick (about 3/8") and looks like it was cut from a 3/8" plate. The OEM part looks like it was stamped from 8 gauge sheet metal. The only issue Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Excellent service department

Attention buyers! I bought these in July 2015 and had a problem from the start. After replacing the cat, 4 O2 sensors, gas cap, spark plugs and mass air flow sensor, I still had the check engine light on. Well I ended up having to take my Rav4 to a Toyota dealership so they figure out what was going on. I haven't been to a dealer for my Rav4 since I bought this car in 2006. The Toyota dealer said it was a Kat. I told them to change it as I had no choice. An inspection was imminent and I had toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A few little things
