I wanted to bring food to a friend and her family after her surgery without having to worry about returning pots/plates. These worked very well. The lids stayed secure throughout the ride. I recommend them.

I don't know why they are called "heavy". I used one for the white potato dish, another for the sliced ham dish, and another for the sweet potato dish. I had to use two pans per plate to keep them from collapsing and sloshing when lifted. Looks like poor quality aftermarket film.

Great for dinner ahead which means we don't have to stay to pick up a plate/plates when we have to go back to work. When cooking something that makes a complete mess like "Perfect every time the Ribs" (great recipe - google) I use this type of skillet and can cook au jus from the skillet, then wash and use for the baked hams reuse, another chaos maker. Also great for casseroles, including layered casseroles such as lasagne or parmesan of any kind. Bon appetit.

There are full pots and half pots. I've bought both before. in fact they are half deep and half deep. For example, not deep enough to climb. Maybe I'll do something short. Lasagna in one layer? The description says half a size. which to me meant half the size. deep ,,,not half deep and half the size, also quite thin.

I use these with my electric charcoal smoker but could very well use them for other purposes plus the number of pans you get is a great deal. If you're looking for a rack that fits perfectly here, 9x13 racks won't fit, but 8x10 racks will. I've been buying pots like these from Revain for years. These are the worst ever. The pans are so thin that they do not support any weight. I just used these tonight for 24 chicken wing drums (very light) and when I grabbed the pan by the corner to pull it out of the oven they bent so bad I had to grab another glove to get the other one Grab the end, otherwise I'd lose them all over the oven while walking.
