The holders won't fit the tool without enough force, so I'm afraid it will damage the tool itself. I used considerable force and it still didn't go all the way in and was very difficult to try to remove.

These things are too tight, there's no easy way to put tools on and off. I'm quite a strong guy and I have to use all my strength to put them on and take them off. I had to take a 1/4" flush cutter in the drill bit and trim off the underside of the raised bracket for each.

As others have said if you can even attach a drill it will take almost a hammer to remove. If my Revain search is correct, they refer to more than one brand of instrument (same item with a different name). I'm a big strong guy, but my students won't be able to use them.

I've tried several Makita tools but these holders just didn't fit right. These holders reproduce the friction slide that holds the battery to the instrument. You can see in my photos that the real Makita battery has more space for the tool. They are too narrow to fit properly. A paint stirrer wrapped in sandpaper solves the problem in just a few minutes, but you can't do without this lifehack.

'Unsuitable' means, as the British say, 'not intended'. If maybe your only goal was to buy a few pieces of Makita teal plastic, an EMD injection molded spark, 4 mounting holes with matching mounting screws, then stop and your search is over. You'll immediately notice that the tool holders don't need much effort to get them into the specified holders with the same rapidity with which the holders grip the vise as if you had applied a liberal amount of isocyanate glue.
