Description of Experience Unmatched Performance with the Panaracer GravelKing Slick TLC Folding Tyre

A high performance all-road tire that can handle a wide variety of road or trail conditions and performs well through a wide range of inflation levels. The nearly smooth tread keeps rolling resistance low. ZSG (Zero Slip Grip) natural rubber compound provides consistent performance through a wide range of temperatures and wears well. 126tpi Advanced Extra Alpha casing performs well through a wide psi range, minimizes rolling resistance, TLC (tubeless compatible) for up to 60 PSI/95 PSI Tubed. AX technology uses extremely narrow cord which is weaved at a super high density into the casing for lightness and flexibility. This increased density improves resistance to cuts and abrasions. For gravel, dirt, rough and smooth pavement – like the first GravelKings, now with more color options!.

Buy it. for cycling

This has to be one of the toughest tires out there. I'm a heavier rider at 240 pounds. I have used the slick 700x35 version of these tires on 23 miles of mixed pavement over very coarse gravel, crushed limestone, horrible potholed pavement, cobblestones and concrete. To be honest I couldn't believe they could take it like this. I was very skeptical and I was wrong.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Zero

Great tire if you drive in a clean environment

Check out the low rolling resistance and grip of these tyres. They do have HORRIBLE puncture resistance though and I've had several flats in two weeks driving the same spots as last year with no flats on my previous brand tyres. I am seriously considering switching to another brand if that will still be an issue.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Excellent tyres, not puncture proof

Nice tyres, roll fast and handle surprisingly well even on rough gravel. Dropped to 3 stars for the complete lack of puncture resistance. I've only done 100 miles on the tires and had two flats the first time I ran on gravel (tubeless riding). I used to run more street tires (Continental gp 5000) and haven't had a flat tire for over 2000 miles which was shocking.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some flaws

Big hole in first 100 miles

I was going to love these PNW gravel tires but the harsh gravel they put down on logging roads causes these tires to die prematurely. I think they would be good on light gravel/chips/tarmac, the tread is not thick/durable enough for normal riding on anything else. To be honest I've had similar issues with Compass/Rene Herse tires (albeit 500 miles). However, I've had better luck with regular SKs, being a mountain biker and racer, maybe I'm riding these things too hard.

Make no mistake with this for a tubeless upgrade!

These tires have impressed me every time I have mounted them. I've ridden them 400 miles now and they show little to no visible wear. They are smooth as glass on any hard surface. Off-road they perform better than expected for a mostly slick tire, the tread actually works well. They are light. stupid world. Less than half the weight of my previous tires, and since they're tubeless-ready, I've reduced the overall bike weight by over 3 pounds. 10/10 recommended for tubeless upgrade

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Terrible Tires Best in Category Tires

These tires are the worst. Just by looking at them, they have them pierced. They pierced tubeless on the road, pierced tubeless on gravel, pierced with cameras twice a week on roads. On gravel I used them at 45psi. puncture. On the road I ran them at 55psi without hoses or 70psi with hoses. punctures. One of them had a catastrophic blowout on smooth tarmac, they bought a replacement and in a week it was punctured twice, once tubeless and then again chambered. I'm 6ft 4ft 195lbs so not a…

Great tires, smooth and surprisingly fast CHALLENGES ARE DEVELOPED FAST

I STOP LOVEING these tires. They are much faster than expected and provide a smooth and stable ride. I use them for highway/gravel riding, mostly on-road. They are wide and stable enough for medium gravel. I ride this tubeless. UPDATE After about 300 miles or so I started having problems. During my last 60 mile ride blisters formed under the tread causing the tire to wobble and bounce a lot with each revolution. At the same time, the tire did not hold the air for long. When I got home I saw…

Non-gravel bike tire

I don't know how they can sell this tire as a gravel tire. After running 2 sets of these tires and driving 1800 miles on them, this is the most pathetic excuse for a tire I have ever had. I've had more flats on these tires than any other tire I've ever owned, and that's no exaggeration. I've tried these Orange Seal tubeless tires as well as Tubolito tubes, neither offer puncture protection. All tires are the same, they will get small cuts from glass or rocks and will either leave you with…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I promise the tires are worth the drive

These tires are amazing. Honestly, I received two tires the first day after installation. One from a tiny piece of glass, one from a tiny spike. I swore and declared I'd give this shit back! I bet I did. But then, after some thought, I decided to keep it to myself. These are not touring tires. This is a light, puffy street tire with some traction with some gravel. So if you need bulletproof protection, look elsewhere. Alligators maybe. Because on these gravel kings you sometimes collapse. Don't

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Will do
