Roll fast! - Tire

I welded the frame myself and mounted these tires to build a sleek Urban Assault bike and I get LOTS of compliments on these tires. I run tubeless, Velocity Blunt SS rims and DT Swiss 350 hubs (27.5 x 1.75). These are fairly light tires, weighing only 360g each.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Revine camp old. Best in Tires

Less than a year later, a double puncture burst and the tire burst on contact with a 3/4 inch concrete to concrete transition. Upon inspection, the rubber along the rib had come loose and looked like the tire was actually quite old and the rubber worn. Wouldn't buy it again.

Pros
  • Ease of Use
Cons
  • Update Available

Very good tyres: Sport

Excellent tyres. As others have said it is very difficult to hit the rim. I hope I'm not floored. Drove it 80 miles on road/gravel. I'll let you know how you did. Update *** great tire. Gravel, pavement, muddy paths and creaking beds couldn't slow them down. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

Tubeless Success

5 stars so far based on ease of installation and tubeless fit. I went without levers but I needed an air compressor to plant the beads. Once the beads were in place I let all the air out and let the beads sit. Filled with 60ml of sealant and held the pressure all night. Slight sidewall leakage but only a few drops. Measured 28.1mm on a DT Swiss R470db with an internal width of 19mm.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Available in White Only

We drive a lot on roads and gravel. While GravelKings aren't Vittoria Corsa CX Open tires, they're also many times more durable, handling corners at 80-90psi and soaking up road bumps very well. If you're looking for an incredibly durable, medium-volume (26mm) tire with low rolling resistance that rolls great on flat roads and handles gravel and granite, look no further. great tyre.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Disappear

I survived BWR on my road bike!

I installed 28mm pebbles on my S-Works asphalt specifically for training and racing at the Belgian Waffle Ride. I admit it's not an ideal configuration but I needed a tire that would at least handle the ride given my limitations as I didn't want to buy a 'gravel bike' just for this event. Paired with 28-32mm Q-Tubes, I found these tires extremely stable on the roughest pavement, but fast enough on the pavement. On sandy and rocky descents I was definitely at a disadvantage compared to othersโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Spend a little more and save big

I really thought these tires would help but I have to say I am very disappointed with their price. I'm not saying these are bad tires; they're actually pretty good. However, my previous pair of Bontragers cost the same as one of these tires and had much better puncture protection. I'm also worried about the tan sidewalls, as they give the wrong impression that these tires are rubber wall tyres: they're not just brown for ascetics. The tires are grippy but not as strong as semi-slicks, and theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Socket required

These are first impressions but I'm pleasantly surprised. The tread on it is identical to the Rene Herse Babyshoe Pass (I bought 650B x 42 tires). I have an older set of 65B x 38 Gravel Kings and the profile is different with a diamond stripe down the middle. So these 42s have a smoother ride. The brown side panel appears to be painted on or covered in a very thin layer of darker rubber, so it's a bit hackneyed, but looks good. The ride is fairly smooth and traction is excellent.
