Got this for my new 7th gen iPad. I've recently switched to using it in class to take notes with the Apple Pen, and I wanted the experience to be quieter (no pen clicking on the screen) and more like writing notes on real paper . This is a very strong paper protector. Yes, it will take away that beautiful shine due to the matte finish. Yes, it's a little rough to the touch, so I'm concerned that it will gradually wear down the apple pencil tip. However, it seems fantastic to draw on.
