Works with the right approach

Works as expected. A few tips: 1. Make sure they are clamped firmly onto the TS-2's jaws. Otherwise they slip out at the wrong moment.2. You want to lubricate (I use machine oil) the curved/round surfaces so the wheel hub slides smoothly and aligns properly.

I wish I could get a different adapter.

They work by creating a convex surface on each side of the dressing post over which the axle ends are centered. It works but it seems stupid. I wish I had a feedback that fits into the wand with a feather-like stylus, creating an artificial axis that fits the vertical of the stylus being corrected. If I had the money to throw around fancy tools I would buy a Park Thru Axle adapter which is a complete axle.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not sure

No bueno - no flush makes the wheel move

On paper they should be pretty good but they don't really sit flush with the TS 2.2 levers. As a result, they don't hold the hub very well between the arms of the dresser. This causes the hub to move or not stand straight and is the death knell of straightening a wheel. It's better to look up. mtb4life on Ebay/rivercitycycles on Pinkbike and bought a set of his rack adapters because they just work better than these guys. From time to time the park swings and misses, and this is one of thoseโ€ฆ

terrible! never exactly

I reviewed these adapters on Universal Cycles, these things are terrible. I used them to straighten mountain bike wheels with thru axles, as a thru axle usually can't be placed on a straightening stand. Hence you get adapters like this one to hold the hub on the stand. Pathetic design, doesn't stay aligned! When I took the wheel out to check the bowl I noticed that every time I put the wheel back in the rack it was crooked. every time. Get an adapter that plugs into the hub, or a largeโ€ฆ

Simple and effective.

I was looking at a more expensive tool from Park that has a threaded rod going through the hub and before ordering I measured the hub that I had to adjust the most and it was the widest for this one Tool. I figured this might cause problems as frankly things tend to widen as new items come in (think Fat Albert bikes) and I didn't want to spend "a lot of money" and end up with it you may need to replace with anyway. They attach (with Spit quick couplers) to the stand forks and then you mount the
