Excellent lighting when you choose the right bulb

Easy to install. Diffused light better than traditional LED bulbs. The 120W equivalent is way better than the 100W equivalent. You can always use a dimmer to turn down the amount of light if someone finds it too bright or you want to create a mood. The most important decision is to choose 3000, 4000 or 5000 bulbs. If you have enough cans, 3000 (softer tone) seems to work for the main living area. We used 4000 in bathrooms and toilets for extra brightness to see more clearly (shaving, choosing…

Instant on, no flicker, no noise, good light diffusion

Installed a few weeks ago. 24 banks updated. good light reaches up to an 8 inch ceiling. Of course it's not an equivalent to 120W, but a worthy replacement for the 75W as they're only rated at 1100 lumens (100W is 1650 lumens according to Cree), the number of bulbs we have makes it acceptable. Installed on dimmers so if there is too much light we can dim them. 100% silent dimming No instant flickering, the inability to see any of the individual LEDs facing the device when it's on or off makes…

Terrible gear system

I bought about 30 for my own house. The characteristics of these LEDs are good. Brightness levels are excellent, colors are pleasing, and the profile is smooth. Compatible with silent smart dimmers. I usually buy recessed lights with spring clips that slide into the glass with a light push. They come in a jar with metal blades. Your setup is a PAIN, killing my fingers after about 4 lights. You never know when they will close completely. Not enough gripping profile to flip them easily. Needless…

No problem, easy install, great dimmer

We have been doing a complete renovation of our home for over 2 years and replacing many halogen bulbs with LED's was on the list. Before ordering lights in bulk, I ordered various LED bulbs to upgrade our lights. I tried different brands and colors but finally settled on this one to replace about 45 lightbulbs. I've been installing them for about a month now and I'm completely satisfied. I chose the 3000k color as it best represents the colors of my jewelry (mostly neutral) and they are very…

MUCH better than buying expensive floodlights

Bought one of these in 4K for a recessed glass in a remodeled master bathroom just to try it. Worked great, solid product, looks well built. I also like the aesthetics. So I bought 12 more to replace the bulbs in all my glasses in the kitchen, this time at 2700 brightness. Even they are as bright as the floodlights they replaced. Just ordered 2 more for my 4 inch cans. They are very easy to install - everything takes 30 seconds. My only complaint, which I'm deducting a star for, is that on my 6

Under the hood: thermal management (let me get carried away)

heat kills white LEDs (or shortens their lifespan) - and I'm very happy with the two thermal management features of this lamp :1) the circuit board is made of aluminum, which dissipates the heat of the LEDs very well. 2) The circuit board is thermally bonded to an aluminum ring of light with a large amount of thermal interface material. Note: Contrary to what another user has claimed, the main body/ring/bezel is white coated aluminum (probably powder coated). The main body is not made of…

Nice! Bright! Freshen up my blanket!

These LED lights are a really nice refresher on my old backboxes! They are good and bright. The light in combination with the molding around it looks much slimmer and nicer than the old interior bulbs we had. It's amazing how the 15 watt LEDs that replace the old 65 watt incandescent bulbs use a lot less power but shine brighter and I look forward to not buying those old floodlights again because they kept burning out . Replacing all 12 pieces took about 30 minutes including climbing stairs…
