The strongest and thickest

I almost gave up on the sliding blocks. What's being sold at local hardware stores was so flimsy that it could cross threads at any moment. They appear to be made of good, strong iron. When I run out, I buy the same ones.

Pros
  • sliding blocks
Cons
  • working speed

I have used various versions of these programs over the years and these have proven to be the best. The longer barrel means your choice of screw lengths isn't as limited and the threads are precision cut for precise and quick engagement. They were strong and did not warp even when tightened below flush in 2x4 Douglas fir.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Periodicity

I like to have those details on hand, just in case.

I like to have these parts on hand when I need them for a project. Definitely beats the crates of stores that sell them by the piece at outrageous prices.

Pros
  • Nuts
Cons
  • Almost never
