This is an aftermarket item. After trying an OEM replacement that only lasted 6 months I went the cheaper route and bought this one. It's working well so far, but I've only had it for about 6 weeks. I'll keep you posted on what's going on.

Looks like a perfect clone of the original resistor. Also fits perfectly. You can see where the pin melted on my original part (at 90,000 miles). I dropped the fan to check it out. There were no leaves, no stones, no feathers. But I noticed my cabin filter was gross so I replaced it. This could be why my fan was working very hard and melting my resistor.

You get what you pay for! The thing worked for six months, then the fan stopped blowing. I could smell burning wire. I examined the fan control module and found that the module had melted and the connector had melted. I have decided to buy an OEM FORD module and OEM FORD replacement connector. Yes, they may be more expensive, but you can see the difference, and FORD OEM parts come with a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty and they'll pay up to $150 for the labor! I suggest buying OEM.

Perfect match for my 2011 Ford Fusion. (You have to use a lot of force to screw it in.) Two things to mention: 1.) This part is known to fail frequently on 2010-2012 Ford Fusions. There is a very high probability that you will have to replace it again. 2.) When replacing this part, be careful not to burn or melt the electrical connector. If there are any signs of this I would recommend replacing the wiring/connector to extend the life of this motor resistor. I'm sure there are other options but

Good quality, fits perfectly, works as it should. Bought this to replace the stock fan motor resistor in my 2010 Mercury Milan which had a damaged fan motor overheating and melting the wiring harness.
