Matching cable "iLink "

I used it for my mini DV recorder which needed an iLink cable to transfer video to my Mac. This cable was perfect for the job, although there are some issues with recording media on my computer. I don't know if it's a cassette, a player or a cable. I'll investigate some more, but for now the cable is fine for my purposes.

Pros
  • Trial version for one year
Cons
  • too stupid

Solid Replacement Cable

Replaced a similar cable that was becoming unreliable. This cable seems to hold up after a few months of regular use. It connects my old MOTU 896HD (FireWire 400) audio interface to my FireWire 800 port. Daisy chaining also seems to work well with external hard drives. Some FireWire 800 cables do not fit tightly into the port. Not my old man; This cable fits.

Perfect for connecting older hardware to a late 2012 Mac Mini

Purchased to connect a first gen Presonus SudioLive 16.4.2 to my late 2012 Mac Mini. This cable allowed all 16 channels to be tracked individually, as well as bus mixes etc. It was the perfect move to complete my home studio. The construction is solid and seems very well built for a device that doesn't get moved around often.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • update availability

Bad luck with cables lately

I've had a lot of bad luck shopping for Revain electronics lately - simple things like power supplies, data cables, power cords just don't do the job. I'm beginning to understand how great products on Revain can get such low reviews. The only redeeming feature of this product was that its design appeared to be quite powerful, but other than that I can't comment on its performance as mine didn't work. .

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Works great with 1st Gen iPod Classic!

I used this cable to connect a 1st gen iPod Classic to a 2015 MacBook Air with Thunderbolt 2. I first tried a Firewire 400 to 800 adapter connected to an Apple Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. but it will only charge my ipod and not sync. I connected this cable to an Apple Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and it worked great. It's a thick cable and appears to be quite durable.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Some little things

Great way to extend the life of two old Macs

As a collector of Macs that Apple considers "old fashioned" or "obsolete", I can say that this very inexpensive cable does the Service experience with my PowerBook G4 and a 27" iMac, both of which are the main reason I bought the cable. The second reason - a used LaCie D2 Quadra case with lots of ports including FireWire 800 - struck me a few days after I had already ordered the cable. After taking the cable out of the box and connecting it to the above computers and hard drive, the drive…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent adapter! Did what I needed!

Great adapter! does what i need! Good value for money, made from a decent amount of materials, connections are solid. I get very good quality connections (video and audio) with this cable. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because I'm an audio/video professional and there are much better cables out there but they are more expensive! Based on that, consider my rating of 4/5 stars 5/5 for price and quality. You get what you pay for! But still… I recommend it to those looking for this type of

A great way to extend the life of two vintage Macs

As a collector of Macs that have been classified as 'vintage' or 'obsolete' by Apple, I can say that this great value Cables that have improved the maintenance process for both my PowerBook G4 and my 27" iMac, which is the main reason I bought the cable.
