Patons Classic Wool Light Gauge Review

I used this to make a wig for a BJD doll and it came out really well. the quality of the hair worked for African American hair. I just twisted it around my finger in several strands, tied one piece in the middle and glued it to a homemade skullcap.

The colors are beautiful, heavy, but not at the expense of beauty. My brother loved his mittens. The fabric used is warm, durable and does not scratch. Yarn breaks easily, can be uncomfortable. Also swells when wet blocking like no other. Conditioning or soaking is required.

I suspect 100% wool costs a little more than acrylic yarn. However, the size of these strands is confusing. You'll be lucky if you can knit or crochet several rows of these. But I'm ashamed that I didn't read the reviews carefully.

Excellent yarn. It's 100% wool and soft. HOWEVER, the basic description of this product seems to indicate that you will receive 3 skeins. That's not the case. This is 1 strand. The number 3 refers only to the thickness of the yarn - it's a slight number 3. I can buy this yarn for $6 a skein at a craft store, so $9 isn't a bargain.

I gave it 4 stars because I wasn't thrilled with how small it is. I wasn't thinking properly and thought it was a little bit more. It's my fault but it looks bigger in the picture. Good color and easy to work with. I like how it works. I wish there were 2 or just one size up but still a good product.
