Will definitely fit in a standard 1U rack slot

I received my unit and was nervous it wouldn't fit based on other reviews but when I put the extender on the rack studs they all did my fears allayed. One of three things seems to be happening. 1) Pyle changed the hole pattern 2) Another company is selling fakes 3) Other users were unaware that the hole spacing on the stands was uneven and half a meter short. 1U occupies three mounting holes on each side, and these mounting holes must be widely spaced on both sides of the center hole. If you're

Not all satisfactory

A few shortcomings make this less than satisfactory: 1. Bezel holes not properly positioned for rack mounting. Not that they were easily wrong, no, they were hopelessly wrong. It seems such a fundamental detail for something designed to be rack mounted that you wonder where else do they cut corners? After all, drilling holes at the right distance does not become more expensive. 2. The power cord is shorter than stated in the product description. So you either need to replace the cord or use an…

Does not fit in standard rack

I bought this to fit in my economy rack for my economy guitar amp effects circuit. I was surprised to find rubber feet bolted to the bottom of the rack hardware. After removing the interfering tabs and installing it in the rack above, I was dismayed to find that the slots didn't line up with the threaded holes in the rack. Not even close. FWIW, I have an actual Furman in my "upscale" rack and can't recall such a fiasco. Apparently geniuses like Pyle (deliberate typo) have never heard of the…

Great for small shelves!

Fits perfectly in my 12U home lab server rack, although you have to remove (unscrew) the included rubber feet to properly fit the 1U space. The up switches flicker a bit after a few months of use but still work great. I hooked mine up to an APC 1500 Pro UPS with an optional battery pack, then hooked up the modem, router, switch, media converters, switch, server, printer, print server, etc. in a PDU. If my cable modem (or other device) is running, requires a forced shutdown, or needs to be shut…

Great device easy to work with except for 19 " racks

Like any other type of device it does one thing and it is advertised as doing one thing. In this case it is a socket switch. Typically, surge protectors just add a small electronic part called the surge protector, which is essentially a two-terminal capacitor to store/filter small surges (surges) and simply interrupt in the event of a surge. too much of. This in turn shorts out the outlet and trips the circuit breaker. A simple idea, but nothing that could add value. , illuminated with blue…

Well built. Best Accessories and Supplies

I checked with Pyle as the sales literature says the switches are blue but the pictures show red. They are actually red. I was a little concerned that the switch glow would be too strong judging by the photos, but they fitted. Not dark, not light. You can use it in a dark place and it won't be overloaded. This is a properly designed 1U device. The flanges fit snugly into the mounting brackets and holes. If you need a shallow shelf on the shelf, you can use it for this purpose because the…

Not enough power to power rack servers

I work in IT and like many others I have a lab. I have several 1U rack servers, NAS etc. I ended up moving everything to a proper rack to remove the racks I was using. I bought it because it was a rack mount surge protector. Now it fits my storage rack perfectly, so anyone who says it doesn't fit theirs shouldn't have a storage rack. I don't know what's going on there. What I like about this power supply is the front panel switches that turn off the power without having to unplug it. I would…

Decent extension cord at a good price

I used this in my last home network stand setup. It's not a fancy PDU, just a power distributor that lets you turn individual ports on and off. That was my main reason for buying this one and not others. My rack is mounted high up in the laundry room. So if I ever have to turn a device off and on again, I don't want to climb stairs to do it. I can easily flip the switch on the front with a broomstick etc. Don't expect anything special from this extension. It's very easy. Also very light so I…

Great multi-device power controller.

I've only had this machine a few days but have gotten it up and running and so far it's doing everything I need it to do. I'm glad all vessels are on the back. I need this for my application. And all the switches are on the front panel and numbered. If you're like me, you have many devices connected to your computer that have small power transformers to power them. And so you need to find a place to connect them. Well my solution was to purchase this unit along with two packs of 5 x 3 pin 12"…
