Will not fit large boots

Do not buy these if you have SPD cleats on shoes larger than 45. The bottom strap is near the back of the cleat and rises on its own. See photo. Will return.

  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Good product suitable for accessories

It's really great. I tested them today on our first snow and rode 3 miles in regular socks and they definitely kept my toes warm. In comparison, I recently ran 13 miles in thick hiking socks and completely lost feeling in my toes as the wind sliced through my boots. I wear size 46eu/12us and took XL. I almost thought they wouldn't fit, but they fit perfectly.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Warm, durable, but why not a drawstring/loop?

I finally had to replace my old Pearl Izumi toe pads that lasted about 15 years! The latest PI toe pads are fine. They do not have an import function: a lacing / loop for putting on shoe covers. I looked at other PI insoles and this feature seems to have been eliminated so I had to settle for laceless/loopless insoles. Otherwise they are good.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

warm without socks at 20-40 degrees

I never wear socks and had no idea how much wind could get through my perforated PI leather boots until I got them. Below 40 degrees they prevent cold toes. Riding in 21 degrees (average about 15 mph or 6 degrees) my toes started freezing after 30 minutes. I could easily add sheepskin linings to the shoes or wear socks, which I hate, but for the price, that's exactly what a winter bike needs.

Just what I need for the sport

I was concerned when I first tried to wear the special Large/X-Large mountain bike shoes over a size 45 (11 1/2). They felt awfully tight but these covers turned out to be very, very stretchy so they fit my shoes perfectly with the perfect opening for my boots and MB spikes. I like the thickness of the material. Based on my experience with these covers, I assume they are good into the 30's. Exactly what I needed. I liked them so much that I bought another pair for my road bike boots as well as…

Works on Sport

I ordered L/XL. I have mountain bike shoes in size 9.5 (43 €). It's a very tight fit, but that might be because I wear it on top of my mountain bike shoes, which have some pretty decent cleats at the bottom. Despite the tight fit, I find this the perfect shoe size. Just keep in mind that larger shoes may not fit. I drove about 20 miles WITHOUT these covers in 35 degree weather. By the end of the trip my toes were frozen. I actually canceled the trip because my toes were so cold. This trip was…

Worth the price

Finger pads are essential for cold weather riding and I've had plenty of them over the years. This is by far the best (and most expensive) I've ever had. They are airtight and don't let any wind through - that's the secret of their success. Other neoprene covers I've used are easier to put on and take off but aren't as effective (although they are fine for windless days with temperatures above 35 degrees). This product ensures good exposure of SPD tips. The edges wrap around your shoe and…

Great wind protection

I wear size 10 Pearl iZumi Vagabond R3 road shoes (43 euros) and ordered L/XL thermal toe protection. I have ridden in cool/windy conditions and these covers are a noticeable improvement. A small price to pay for extra comfort - should have booked years ago. Stitching quality is good and held up well for the first +100 miles, but I don't run in these shoes - I only wear them when I travel. These sleeves come in just above the average strap of my shoes and the L/XL size fits. Tight enough that…

Excellent wind protection so you can wear summer shoes in the fall.

I usually stop driving when it gets colder. This year my friends and I decided to continue riding in the fall and with temperatures reaching 40C. My toes are cold as my regular shoes (Northwave Scorpius 2 Wide) are semi-mesh and very breathable. The wind and the cold blow at all. So I invested in these toe pads. What a difference, what a difference! With a long enough ride, the cold will certainly creep in and freeze you, but they go a long way in keeping you functional and dry. One of my first
