🔧 Optimized Repair Kit for Peerless RP44123: Ball, Seats, Springs, Cam, Cap, Adjusting Ring, and Bonnet Review

I was trying to fix a leaking faucet in my kitchen sink. The hex bolt broke and I couldn't get the handle off. I had to unscrew and replace the hood along with the handle. I used this kit to replace leaky washers as well as the hood. I bought the faucet handle separately. Our kitchen faucet is a single handle for hot/cold water along with a side spray nozzle.

Instead of buying a new faucet I found this kit to replace my 23 year old Delta faucet - the stem broke on the Delta ball. The rubber rings and springs from the new kit didn't fit (maybe if I worked with them a bit more) so I decided to use old parts that were still in good condition. The parts were easy to install, the new ball is smooth and works well.

We have replaced the gaskets on a bathtub faucet twice with mixed results. Earlier repair kits came from plumbing supply stores and large hardware stores. I felt the only option was to replace the entire faucet and figured we'd try the repair kit again, this time I went with the kit from the source. The details are definitely better than the previous kits, everything fits perfectly. Faucet performance improved by 100%, no middle ground needed to stop dripping.

All parts received in good working order and fully replaced original worn parts as promised. This was a problem when I bought a somewhat generic kit that didn't fit all the parts, but with the right parts fixed the faucet in 10 minutes; from dismantling to launch. Note. The key to getting this type of seat to work well with the ball, spring and seat system so there are no leaks is not to over-tighten the adjuster ring. The parts came in a clear plastic bag that said 'RP44123 Repair Kit' and 'Made in China' with a barcode. At first I thought it was a Delta branded product, but it turns out it wasn't. Seats and springs had slightly different dimensions compared to Delta-branded parts: the springs had an additional 8.15 mm of coil height (compared to 6.31 mm for Delta springs); and the seats had a smaller bore diameter of 5.0mm (compared to 6.0mm for the Delta seats).
