Pelikan Opaque Watercolor Chinese 720862 Review

I really like this watercolor set. We paint with the child several times a week and love the variety. It's also colorful on paper. It is thick and not watery like most children's paints. I highly recommend!

If you love gouache but hate using it and like watercolor but often come across as too thin or translucent, this is a really good color! It's a bit in between and great for layering watercolor paints! In addition, the color is ULTRA bright, so you can easily create super bright paintings! Here is a picture I painted with paints.

I'm not the type of person who wouldn't use anything other than an artistic touch. I'm a draftsman/craftsman and tend to use a lot of student stuff. My colored pencils are even Stabilo. So I'm not a super snob when it comes to art. But this is a very inferior color. Even for a children's set. Really good quality paints at an amazing price! The colors are bright, even, a mixture of watercolor and gouache. If you want it to be more opaque, wait for the bottom layers to dry, use less water, and load the brush.
