Good for ESP8266 in power converters

Excellent for powering esp8266 3.3V devices using USB power supplies with UART power connectors. Allows you to turn your Sonoff Basic into a relay without AC connection. Great for tasmot.

useful for purpose - power converter

Use it to provide 3.3v and 5v power for my hobby projects. Works well. The LED is quite bright and this can be a plus or a minus depending on usage. If you straighten the pins, they will be inserted into the breadboard or PCB with the LED side down, so brightness isn't an issue.

Non-buck converter

Connected to a 12V supply to get a 3.3V output The output is 3.3V as it should be. Then measured the output current at 80mA and the input current at 93mA, efficiency 21.5%. I expected the buck converter efficiency to be much higher. Look at the AMS1117 part, which clearly says it's based on a linear regulator. So anything said here that it's much more efficient than a linear regulator is just a lie.

Great little device, terrible documentation

This is a great little device, but there is actually NO documentation for it. I had to go to the forums to find answers someone found in the docs of a "similar" (but not identical) device. It was a time of fellowship and prayer. I toasted 2 out of 5 to find out. The specific missing information is that when using FIXED voltage settings, the EN port MUST be shorted to ground to get ANY voltage. Cool and surprisingly small 4.75-12v to 3v buck converter

Very small, about the size of a pencil point. Probably the smallest so far. Basically I'm going to use them to power some 3w leds I bought a while back and I need something good as a power converter. I love that I can use this via 5V USB or put together 8 AA and make a long lasting powerful flashlight. Easy solution for 3.3V projects

I ordered these DC to DC buck converters to help with intermittent 3.3VDC power needs. I've developed projects that used ESP8266 modules, OLED displays, and some Arduino touch devices like accelerometers, magnetometers, etc. DC Arduino Pro. Mini. When I say simple solution; You're only dealing with three pins; Vin, Wout and Gnd. The specs say you can use a 4.75 to 12V DC Vin power supply with a source current of up to 800mA. When I received the devices, they were all connected to the same band.
