Very sharp lens great for camera and photo

I'm fairly new to Pentax, switched from Olympus to get better low light and high ISO performance for indoor sports shooting. When looking for lenses for the new system I looked at several including the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, the Pentax 50-135 f2.8 and this Pentax 60-250 f4. I rented all three to try before I pocket my hard-earned cash. The Sigma was good for indoor use, but a bit too short and not weatherproof for outdoor sports where I also shoot. The Pentax 50-135 was very good for indoor shots…

No Substitute

I'm mainly a still life photographer - macro photography, landscapes, artifacts etc. But lately I've decided to shoot children and their parents in dynamic environments like the beach or other places. fun places. I started using my Pentax 100mm FA f2.8 macro for this job, but the limited focal length and screw-drive autofocus didn't work for me when shooting fast-moving subjects. I also like to shoot wide open to blur the background. About 10-15% of my shots came out soft with 100mm and my K-7,

Excellent results at all focal lengths

I purchased this lens from Revain.com in August 2011. I have used this lens from time to time over the last 3 years. Although I'm not a professional photographer, I have a good understanding of what to look for in a lens. Construction: It appears to be a well built lens. It is weatherproof and allows for greater care when used outdoors. Focal Length: 60-250mm - 90-375mm equivalent focal length with PENTAX APS-C sensors. Aperture: constant F4. For a lens of this focal length, this is the best…

So sharp you can shave with it.

Pros: Sharpness throughout the zoom range, even wide open is great, at 5.6 it's just amazing Versatile range (90-375mm full frame equivalent, pretty close to 100-400mm) Relatively compact All-weather seal Detachable tripod mount Cons : No zoom lock, may slip Some softness on one side of the frame at 200-250mm and f/4 (rarely seen above f/4.5) Detachable tripod mount Verdict: Great lens for the asking price. Image quality and bokeh are comparable to most prime lenses of the same range and…

Love from the first photo!

I bought this lens used from Revain inventory. I had some concerns about buying a used lens with an unknown history, but was a bit relieved because Revain was behind it. So I jumped in and I'm very glad I did. On a side note, the packaging of the lens itself was as you would expect; The lens was well attached and everything helped soften the lens and hold it firmly in place. The box it came in was fine too, but the outer box didn't have spacers so the box with the lens could bounce around…
