Not Working: Diagnostic, Test, and Gauging Tools

No matter how many times I try, you can't get enough water out of the cells to fill the gauge and record how the battery is doing. The end of the hose is too big to go all the way into the cell, so you can only pull the top of the water into the cell, which isn't enough to get a reading. Useless.

IT DID NOT WORK - FLUID WAS NOT DRAWN INTO TESTER

This device did not work. The rubber bulb is too small and weak to draw enough electrolyte into the chamber to perform the test. I've tried putting liquid into the vial and tester with a syringe, but that didn't work either; The liquid got stuck in the black hose and I lost the liquid from the battery. Only use this if you're getting frustrated, losing battery fluid, and want to get battery fluid on yourself.

Very bad battery tester product

This product is not suitable for battery testing. The tester must draw too much water from the battery, and then the bulb will collapse and not inflate. You get what you pay for. It would be better to buy another tester for a few euros more that requires little water and takes up little space because there are small balls inside the pipette. Too bad I didn't use this tester before the return period expired. I think I'll throw it away.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Poorly made but functional

The white area between the green and blue scales in the illustration is truly white letters on silver, which are difficult to read even in good light. You can't see it in the product image, but you can guess by reading. The filling line is stamped on the inside of the plastic tank. It's small and fluffy. I put a strip of black tape on the outside of the tank to mark it. The scales are paper labels attached to the outside of the tank. It is not known how long they will last or how exactly they…

Difficult to use and inaccurate

I bought 10 of these to use in my industrial battery class. They were supposed to be brought to work by technicians, but they worked so badly that I couldn't even send them along. The lamps are so soft that they do not expand and do not pull in the electrolyte. You have to massage the bulb to make it work and then when electrolyte gets in the readings are very inaccurate compared to other testers I have. It also takes a lot of electrolyte to fill it up to the right testing level. If you want…

Defective product, only worked once

Waste of money. Spend a little more and get a decent product. I bought this about 3 months ago to help me troubleshoot my electric golf cart batteries. When I first used it with some effort, I was able to collect enough fluid and get measurements that helped me identify the faulty cell. My first impression was that you get what you pay for so I was satisfied. After changing the battery and then using it for some time I decided to check all 6 batteries (in my 48 volt wagon) and found that the…
