Performance Tool W2981 Circuit Tester Review

This worked well and helped me diagnose a mysterious problem with the vehicle electrical. You can insert the sharp end of the probe directly into the wire to test without stripping the wire.

Works as expected and very well built. I can say it's been a long time! Ideal for quickly determining the presence of power at a fuse or outlet. The sharp tip allows it to be used in small areas.

I lost my old test lamp, it was a replacement. Good lamp, good sharp tip and good clip. A 12V test light is essential when trying to figure out anything electrical in a car. This is a good value for a well built instrument.

Well made product. You don't have to spend a lot of money if you get the same quality here. In any case, most modern instruments are made in China, so you don't really get the same quality instruments as you did a few years ago when they were stamped "Made in the USA". If you notice that well-known brands are not stamped, the only way to tell where the tool came from is by looking at the small sticker on the box. Save your money, this is a well made product at a great price.

I installed an LCD rearview mirror and DVR and needed to check the fuse slots in the Forte. This is exactly what I need and I found it at a great price. I love that it has a large alligator clip on the negative end. I was able to easily attach it to the car frame without tearing it off. The ground wire is quite long (2 feet) and VERY thick.
