Good for tightly coiled springs!

Works well on tight springs. Used on my chord front springs with no clearance issues. Do not bend or wear, but be sure to lubricate the screw threads with anti-seize paste.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • No instructions

Can be better supported by a strong female grip.

The product does not work very well. When attaching one side, there is not enough space to place the spring compressor on the other. Luckily I only got by with one. I bought a crappy pair from the Autozone and they worked a lot better.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Compatibility

Works great - tools and gear

Had to remove the coil spring from a '68 Mustang. I had a single rod that you inserted into the spring and the rod was too long and was against the spring rod. This one was safer because it didn't rely on one rod but on 2 separate ones. Just push it slowly because it's a dangerous process. But it worked great!

Pros
  • Works great for me

Well Made Spring Compressor

Some other reviews criticized this product for having two lips instead of one on each end and when using it they only had one lip on each end. IMO they are using it incorrectly. Single-lip compressors (the more common type) should have the screw parallel to the spring. However, I rotated the spring compressor a bit (maybe 10 degrees) so both edges end up against the spring and the screw heads are 180 degrees apart and the bottoms are also 180 degrees apart. . It looks like they're slightly…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
