Some other reviews criticized this product for having two lips instead of one on each end and when using it they only had one lip on each end. IMO they are using it incorrectly. Single-lip compressors (the more common type) should have the screw parallel to the spring. However, I rotated the spring compressor a bit (maybe 10 degrees) so both edges end up against the spring and the screw heads are 180 degrees apart and the bottoms are also 180 degrees apart. . It looks like they're slightly twisted at the top, but in the same direction. The springs compress well and stay straight. I had to use wrenches to loosen the bolts to get them out of the car. Once the spring was out of the car, I used a small 1/2" impact wrench to loosen the compressors, alternating each side about every half inch. I then used an impact wrench to compress the new springs back 1/2 inch. at once. If you try to compress a new spring with a wrench it will be very difficult to hold the spring while you tighten the compressors. Look at the bottom of the spring to see how it fits into the bottom holder and make sure the new spring is oriented the same way when you compress it, so it should be oriented a certain way to make room for wrenches. I'm writing all this because I think it's a good product that some of the other comments downvoted for not using it properly.
