Type of review

The touchpad itself works well. Scrolling, typing, clicking, etc. work well and accurately. However, it is very annoying that the two-finger scrolling from top to bottom and left to right is the opposite of regular touchpads on laptops. Normally, a two-finger swipe down moves the screen down, but with this touchpad, it scrolls the screen up! The same from left to right: the screen moves to the left when two fingers are moved to the right. It is also very annoying that there is no way to turn…

Pros
  • Sturdy surface
Cons
  • Some issues

Good size - like most touchpads on business laptops. The build quality is good but not impressive - it has a very basic industrial design. Very easy to set up - it was truly "plug and play" on my WIN10 machine. Companion software for remapping device keys would be nice. Touch accuracy isn't great - noticeably less accurate when trying to highlight selected text or tapping small icons. The touchpad on my Lenovo is much better. UPDATE: I found that the touchpad "accuracy" in WIN10 was controlled…

Both sizes are "good ", neither is "great ".

Tried both sizes in this ad (Revain seems to combine reviews). None of these are "great", but they are one of the few wired USB touchpads available that I could find (wireless wouldn't suit my needs). Double-sided tape is used around the bottom area of the buttons, making it much easier to use by avoiding accidental presses while making the buttons easy to find and use. If I could find a way to get used to it or reduce the height/thickness that would be perfect. Large touchpad - I got it first.

Not compatible with gestures

A longtime fan of desktop trackpads and I've tried several. Keep looking for a replacement for my old trusty Logitech T650 which I know will die one day. But that's not what this Perixx device is. Good: It has independent clickable buttons, which I like for reliable and accurate cursor placement in text (I'm a writer). It's smaller than Logitech and smaller than most other desktop touchpads, which isn't good for moving from one corner of the screen to the other. At least it's a straight wire…

Just what I need in input devices

A few days ago I unpacked the trackpad and thought it was another useless device I wasted money on. I'm glad I'm wrong. I wanted to pair a trackpad with a small keyboard to save space on my desk. I'm used to using a trackball mouse and the trackball needs enough room to fit a real mouse as it doesn't move. Due to a thumb injury I can no longer use the trackball and have bought an ergonomic mouse. The new mouse feels great, but takes up a lot of space that I don't actually have. Solution: small…

Convenient and Accurate Multi-OS Trackpad

This is a basic, no-frills trackpad. I've used it on my various machines ranging from older distributions of Puppy Linux and Linux Mint to Win7, Win8.1, Win10 and Windows Server 2012. It has worked flawlessly in every single instance - drivers load like magic - and I often use the mouse in my right hand and this trackpad in my left. It has a typical full-size USB connector and works equally well when connected via USB 2.0 and 3.0. The device itself fits in the palm of my hand, and the buttons…

Does the job but could be designed better

It worked great plug and play on my laptop with windows 7. This was a great find because my touchpad on my laptop started to fail. I liked that it was (barely) small enough to fit on my old touchpad, attached with a piece of tape or a rubber band. But I can think of a more perfect motive. A few complaints, in order of importance: - Two buttons are hard to press. This tires your wrists more than necessary. That's my biggest complaint about it. They are "slow" and clumsy. They could also be…
