Sent this back. It was so thick and bulky that there was no way I could use it as a working collar for my service dog. There was also almost no padding. Ordered a large one for my 60lb pit bull pup. He has a 17.5" neck, this collar is perfect for him and gives him enough room to potentially grow. In the last two years I've probably spent over $100 on various crappy collars. I will only redo the quality level. What everyone attributes to this collar, it is well made. I have to start this review by saying that this is an excellent quality collar. The only problem is that if your dog's neck isn't the ideal size for a collar, the excess length extends beyond the wrist strap and can be uncomfortable for the dog, much like wearing a strap that's too long. Collar only, there is no pant loop to hold excess belt material. I bought a medium size for our sheltie (miniature collie) who weighs about 49 pounds.
